Amalgam will always be superior to composite. Aesthetically, not the best. But, strength, retention and durability, amalgam will have the better lasting advantage. This is why in the west, you'll only see amalgam at free dental Government community clinics. Because - amalgam is cheaper than composite. Amalgam is always a one time placement. With composite, patients typically comeback in less than a year to get it fixed. Composite only works best for facial restoration. But durability when placed on bite surfaces are just awful. That is why so many people still have amalgam fillings since the 90s lol!

At this depth anything will work! And how the heck do you suggest getting a clamp on a gumline lesion (where most of these Class V's will be)? Class V's don't happen in a vacuum. Most of the time it's a series of teeth: 5-13, 20-27. And cutting full depth on a 330 means root canal therapy. I wish I were cutting plastic teeth on a typodont. Must be nice.
